People often ask me what Skin Care I use. I laugh, because I am in the beauty business. However, that is a valid question. Let me recommend to you for woman as well as men who want one of the best anti-aging treatments available. “Prevage”. The products work by improving the effects of oxidation on the skin as well as protects and restores the skin. What may you ask is the key ingredient in Prevage? ‘Idebenone” is the exclusive ingredient and is proven to be one of the most powerful antioxidants for correcting, and preventing degenerative cellular damage caused by harmful environmental assaults to the skin. When used correctly, you will notice your skin decrease in appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. |
|
|
|
|
It also helps to reduce the appearance of age spots and discoloration. Skin looks firmer and even tone and texture. If you are looking to help brighten skin it helps with this too. And finally, helps maintain collagen levels in the skin! Wow! What an amazing product! Yes, I have tried many other products but always come back to this one. Prevage really works. You do need a good moisturizer with this product. Be careful if you have undergone resurfacing, dermabrasion, or chemical peel as this may cause break out, redness, burning or irritation to skin. Use Prevage either in AM or PM in your daily routine. Making sure you follow in morning with a moisturizer with SPF protection. If used in evening follow with evening moisturizer. This products cost just pennies on the dollar when used properly. Average time it lasts is 3 to 4 months.
So if you break it down (90) days in 3 months price per day equals $1.72 per day to use. The actual cost is $155.00. For questions on skincare and makeup consultations or to book a session with Regional Makeup Artist Dea McDaniel contact me at 469-569-2408 or

Modeling
Fitness with Ana Simpson |
| |
|
|
For
most models, the idea of fitness takes
many different forms.
The ideal woman is in the eye of
the beholder, so there is no need to
accept unhealthy “norms” for your
bodies or minds.
“Thin is in” has always been a
hallmark of our trade, but thin does not
mean void of healthy muscle, nor does it
require you to forego proper diet to
attain it.
In
the modeling industry there can be
extremely long days, with hours upon hours
on your feet.
It is important that each
individual take their fitness into their
own hands.
Each person has their own goals and
recognizes their own weaknesses.
There is no one right answer to
getting and staying in shape, because
there is no one body type or mental image
of what makes us beautiful.
There are however, certain basic
rules to follow that can make you not only
look good but feel great.
Ana
Simpson, ISSA personal trainer/model,
recommends the following principles to
good health and attaining the look you
want, but in the right way: |
|
|
|
|
|
|
“Diet….It
is of the utmost importance.
Starvation is no way of going about your
business!
In fact, you are doing much more harm than
good.
Staying in the form you want is dependent on
certain core activities.
A well balanced nutrition is the most important
of them all.
First off, ditch the junk food!!!
No potato chips, pastries, soft drinks or fast
food.
That has to go.
Pretend soft drinks don’t exist.
Your elixir of life is water.
Drink as much as you want.
Ever think you look a little soft?
Well, it’s because you’re not drinking
enough water.
Your body stores water under the top layer of
skin when you don’t intake enough.
That’s what you see when you look soft.
If you drink at least 8 cups of water a day,
you’ll see that soft layer start to disappear.
Instant change!
When you’re on set, this junk fare is readily
available and very convenient.
Don’t do it, bring your own snacks.
Convenience should never be an excuse.
“Eating Clean” is not a diet; it’s a
lifestyle change that pays off in huge dividends.
Continue to eat the things you enjoy, but
choose a healthy alternative to the mainstream menu.
For example, if you like muffins, eat a muffin,
but choose one that is made of whole grain flour and
fruit rather than white flour and chocolate chips.
You’ll find that you don’t have cravings
because you’re not depriving yourself of anything.
You’re just eating a healthier version of all
the things that use to make you feel guilty.
It doesn’t have to be the case.
Secondly, we need to change the frequency of
meals.
How many times have you skipped meals because
you felt bloated or a little “pudgy?” This is
exactly the opposite reaction needed.
Many people don’t understand the concepts of
metabolism.
Metabolism, in very general terms, is the
physical process by which our bodies burn fuel and
convert that fuel into the energy needed.
Not everyone is born with the same metabolic
rate, but there are certain things that everyone can
do to help increase it.
When you skip meals, your metabolism slows down
(BAD).
When you eat 5 to 6 small meals throughout the
day, your metabolism must increase (GOOD).
See the concept?
In any effort to get into or stay in good
shape, you must NOT skip meals.
Three normal portions for breakfast, lunch and
dinner with light snacks (veggies, fruits, smoothies,
etc.) in between will keep your metabolism running all
day long.
That’s what we’re looking for.
Don’t starve yourself because in the greatest
sense of the word, it is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.
“
“Get
some help….find a motivator that leaves you no room
for failure. In both dieting and exercise it
becomes easy to lose your way.
Some people are extremely disciplined and can
maintain a healthy lifestyle without help or
motivation.
But…I dare say these people are in the
extreme minority.
Most models have enough on their itineraries
that it becomes difficult to focus on things they are
not accustomed to.
Diet and exercise are generally the first to be
left aside.
Don’t let this be you.
Consider not only your personal health, but
your livelihood as well. If
we as models choose to be models for more than a
couple of years, it is essential that we take an
active role in getting and staying healthy.
As we get away from our teenage years, the body
begins to change rapidly.
There is no reason why we can’t look as good,
if not better, than we did when we were that age.
However, you can’t rely on good genes to make
this happen forever.
Develop, with the help of a motivator, a plan
of attack that will have you looking great and feeling
even better.
You’d be surprised at how many gigs keep
coming when you have a smile that begins on the inside
and streams outwards.
A professional is the first good step in that
direction.”
Keep
in mind that these are just some guidelines for
modeling fitness.
For a more serious look at what you should do
not only for your career, but for yourself as a
person, don’t hesitate to seek professional fitness
advice.
When you take yourself seriously, your career
will move in the proper direction.
A professional outlook in all aspects becomes
readily apparent to all people who want to look at
you.
Don’t leave your career to chance; take an
active approach to developing yourself to the best of
your ability.
